Whatever happened to our Sunday fun post? Well, lets get back to it and make sure it's regular from now on. My siblings and I couldn't agree on something so I'm bringing it here. For those who have followed Naija movies for a while, which of the comedy films would you pick as the best Naija comedy film of all time? I picked Chinedu Ikedieze and Hank Anuku's 'I'm inlove' but my sisters thinks it's Patience Ozokwor and Victor Osuagwu's 'One Dollar'. Someone else said it's Jenifa, another said it's Ikuku; what do you say?

Check out my list below and let's know what you think...

1. I Belong
2. Ikuku
3. Jenifa
4. One Dollar
5. Osuofia in London
6. Oba ju Oba lo
7. Baba Jaiye Jaiye
8. Aki and Paw Paw
9. Trouble Maker
10. I'm in love

You don't have to choose from my list, I'm sure there are other funny films you've seen that isn't listed here. So what's your best Naija comedy film of all time?

Justice Opeyemi Oke of the Lagos High Court sitting in Igbosere has awarded ₦100 million in damages to Uzoma Okere who was assaulted by four officers of the Nigerian Navy on November 3, 2008.

Ms. Okere sued Rear-Admiral Harry Arogundade, the four naval ratings in his convoy whom she said beat and stripped her on the stated date, when she refused to leave the road for the convoy.

As part of the judgement, the court also asked the respondents to write a letter of apology to the claimants, which must be published in at least four newspapers within one month of the judgement.

Wow, fantastic news. You really can get justice in Nigeria if you try. But come o, who will give Uzoma the N100 million? The officers that beat her up, the officer that sent them, or the Nigerian Navy?

When I tell some people who didn’t know me as a model that I was once one of the most sought after models in Naija ... they give this kind of look that says "really?’ – Yes really!

A designer recently introduced me to someone as an ex-top model; the lady looked at me and said “Oh Really? in Nigeria?” – No, in Niger Republic...lol

I usually don’t come across as an ex-top model, mostly because of my ‘girl next door’ look, plus I’m always simply dressed, with minimal or no make-up at all. I’m not a *glamour glamour* kind of person...the only time I fix nails or eyelashes is when I have a very serious photo shoot, otherwise I’m all bare. There are a lot of girly things I don't bother myself with...maybe that's why I don't easily come across as a former model.

I've even once heard a girl say "It's only in Nigeria she can be a supermodel". - Whatever, bitch!...lol

Seriously I don't know what it was, but something worked for me because I really was big in my time. One time model of the year. One time highest paid. One time best runway model (Think Naomi Campbell...lol). And I can't even begin to count how many products I represented, plus all the billboards. But unfortunately for us models in Naija, modeling doesn’t bring you fame. Maybe some cash, but not fame. You have to tell your own story yourself. So I’m grateful for my blog, at least here I can share my thoughts, my stories and on days like this – my pictures.

I took these pictures for no purpose at all. I actually went to the studio to take just one photograph for a book project I’m working on and decided to take a few clothes (and one shoe...:-)) along just to pose a little...lol.

Check the pictures out...

This outfit was made by KFA fashions...loves it!

And the pictures were taken by Austin Osagie, who by the way is one of Naija’s best photographers, with world class equipments. Austin can be reached on 08033254892.

So what do you guys think of my pictures, cute or cute? You can abuse me o but not too much...lol

Hilary Clinton's statement

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has blamed failings by Nigerian leaders for increasing "radicalisation" among young Nigerians. She pointed to poor living standards and "unbelievable" corruption. She said she believed that bombing suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was "disturbed by his father's wealth".

Here's what she said "The information we have on the Christmas Day bomber so far seems to suggest that he was disturbed by his father's wealth and the kind of living conditions that he viewed as being not Islamic enough."

Disturbed by his father's wealth? What's wealth got to do with anything? He targeted America, not his father's mansion. There are plenty other rich Muslim men with sons who wouldn't do what Umar did, so I don't understand what she means by this statement. What do you think?

Naval Helicopter crashes.

A Nigerian Navy Agusta reconnaissance helicopter marked 06 with three naval officers and one rating on board crashed in the swamps of Mmiri Ochiochi in Obodo Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State yesterday, killing all the people on board.

The helicopter was heading to Lagos from Port Harcourt. The mangled bodies have been pulled out at the crash site opposite Government Secondary School, Isiokpo.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the helicopter went down near Port Harcourt International Airport while searching for a ship that supposedly ran aground in the region.

A naval spokesman Commodore David Nabaida confirmed the crash, adding that it took place in the troubled Niger Delta region of that country, but said he was far from being sure it was perpetrated by terrorists. Militants and oil thieves have attacked pipelines and security forces in the oil-rich Niger Delta region but have not shot down a plane.

This picture of child actor, Gary Coleman, was taken over the weekend after being arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court. The police reportedly were called to Coleman’s home outside Salt Lake City on a report of a domestic disturbance. No evidence of a crime was found, but police took him into custody on the 2009 failure-to-appear warrant. Then this mugshot...he must have been really pissed at being arrested...lol

Awww, wasn't he so cute back in the day?

Here is something rapper and producer Eldee Thedon wrote. I want you guys to read and tell us what you think afterwards...

Charity begins at home - Eldee Thedon

I received all your broadcast messages about Haiti but I'm yet to see anyone show concern for the people being slaughtered in Jos, or for the people who haven't had constant power nor clean water for decades, those who die daily in hospitals due to lack of proper healthcare, those who go to school and learn nothing because the education system has collapsed, those who live in the worst humanly possible conditions in the world...the average Nigerian.

I'm not an insensitive person, in fact I am very compassionate but it feels to me like we don't realize that we share the same conditions as the Haitians right now. For some reason, we can't see our situation as bad or maybe we have all subconsciously chosen to ignore it. I am not against compassion and support for Haiti, I'd just like for us Nigerians to look inward and see that our country also needs help in every sector. We all need a moment to notice how dilapidated our country's infrastructure is and how desperate we all should be for change.

Please donate to re-building Haiti but as you do so, think of what you can do to help Nigeria and Nigerians in need, there are as many as 60million of us living in similar conditions as Haiti right now. Some may argue that the two scenarios are incomparable but the hard truth is that the living conditions in Haiti today is as it has been for millions of Nigerians for over 2 decades. The world does not notice or highlight our issues because even we the people that are affected have become so used to it, we don't see it as a problem. I'm deeply saddened by the conditions in Haiti and I pray for God's sustenance for its people, but I have felt the same way about Nigeria for over a decade.
I believe we should all take time to reflect on the issue. It is for the greater good of our children and grand children as Nigerians.
***

Alright, what do you guys think of his stand on this issue?
And can we really compare what's going on in Haiti to our situation in Naija?
Pls let's know what you think...
