In my time in law enforcement, one case in particular really pushed me over the line in terms of what I felt like I could really do as a police officer - it involved something sexually inappropriate with two small children with their mother and a police officer in our department and that's all I'm going to say about it.
Either way - that day I began wondering just how effective I was as an officer on the road. I enjoyed night patrol in particular - one because it was easier to decipher "good from bad" in the dark since most people should be in bed so if you were up it was easier to check things out. But I remember patrolling past houses and realizing that there were many things that happened behind closed doors that I couldn't stop - like what happened with the children. Meanwhile there was a piece of satisfaction because I would say in my mind "you go to sleep tonight, I'm on watch out here" but there was just so much I couldn't do.
At any rate - A young girl was abducted - but a man saw the vehicle that abducted her and saw her inside and was able to run the abductor off the road and allow the girl to escape.

In our world of stupid politicians and idiots mucking up the world deliberately while pretending they didn't know or weren't responsible while damning themselves to hell and screwing an entire nation and world over by subverting freedom under the guise of intellectualism - it was nice to hear someone was able to stop something horrible from happening even worse and it was a private citizen.
Unfortunately I only have the Nutjob award, Nutjob award with crossed screws, bronze star and the congressional nutjob award - I don't have any heroism awards. Not that anything I'd post here would do dignity to the situation. Whatev - it was nice to hear someone didn't get away. Bravo Zulu!
