The American public and especially the press have blown it all out of propotion. At a point, an online petition was sent to bosses at ABC asking the network to fire Washington, and was signed by over 9,000 people. Instead of sacking him, the execs insisted on Isaiah going to a treatment facility to seek help. For what? Calling a gay guy a faggot? I think that was too drastic.
Anyway in a bid to redeem his image in the eyes of the world, Isaiah recently made a donation in the amount of $25,000 to help fund a project about Sierra Leone.
