The finale of the 5th season of the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) was held on Saturday, 5th December 2009 at the MUSON Centre in Lagos. The show which just wrapped up its 5th season is known as "Nigeria's star maker", previous winners including Azizat Sadiq, OC Ukeje and Bhaira McWizu have gone on to achieve success from magazines covers to awards and starring roles in movies. Last season's (AMBO 4) winner Wole Ojo is gearing up for his first starring role in the next AMBO Box Office movie.
