I hear the fat lady singing....for Representative Wu's career that is.

Oregon Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden called for Rep. David Wu to resign after the sex scandals involving (a?) young girl.  Wu has announced he will resign.   Scandal aside, that's gotta be hard.  I mean, at work, you just slip out, 20 people know, you go find a new job, whatever, it's over.  Resign from congress, makes the headlines, the entire world knows, its a mess.  He does get to keep his congressional healthcare package though and retirement I believe.

At this point the resignation does one thing: it doesn't flare up into a media circus against the democrats.

Heck, how long was Charlie Wrangle fighting to keep his standing?  

At any rate, if they are looking to nominate someone to the U.S. House of Representatives to fill his spot, I'm openly available at this time for it.
