Babajide “Babs” Familusi aka FAB is the Founder of Exclamations Couture. FAB attended the prestigious Kings’ College, Lagos for his secondary education and thereafter University of Lagos where he studied Chemical Engineering for 3 years and subsequently Marine Biology for another 4 years. He is a Designer, Stylist and Image consultant.
The clothing design and production outfit was founded in 2001 and has since birthed subsidiaries which make up the “Exclamations Group.” The subsidiaries include TIES ETCETERA, the clothing and accessories retail arm of the group and THE LOOKS COMPANY, the styling and image consulting arm.
In 2001, he discovered his interest in making his own clothes haven traded clothing and accessories for 2 years. Mostly self-taught, the young designer used his background in the Sciences to do research in Fabric, Fit and Finishing to create winning pieces and the first shirt that was ever produced was mistaken for a Jermyn Street product! With the applause and exclamations that came from clients, friends and family, the brand was born! Exclamations Couture has since focused on setting the standards for the tailoring of Shirts and Suits in Africa.
With Ozwald Boateng as a mentor, training in South Africa and the United Kingdom and his wealth of experience in his industry, FAB is set to revolutionise the world of fashion in Africa in online shopping, a new store, New-York and London Fashion Weeks.
