Whats the Last Thing Going Through A Bug's Mind When It Hits Your Windshield?

OH THE HUMANITY!  Researchers have estimated that Dutch drivers kill - nay - MURDER - nearly two TRILLION insects per year with their cars while driving.

I did see some flaws presented in the research though.  Some cars are more aerodynamic and therefore they don't kill bugs as much.  What about the "wing shots" where they clip the radio antenna?  Seen a few of those in my time on my Dodge Grand Caravan, they are pretty impressive actually. Do we count those?  What about memorial services for the dead murdered bugs?  Does this impact global warming?  How much CO2 do the bugs produce?  So many unanswered questions!

I don't have much to report here other than someone's actually taking the time to figure this out.

Speaking of aerodynamic - or is it buggerdynamic - cars - I think of a Corvette C5/C6 when I think of aerodynamic.  It was a nice day here in Oregon and I must've passed like 60 of those things on my way to the coast!  Everyone has one!  Okay, maybe not everyone unless I passed 60 drivers - but - I gotta get me something totally custom made exotic with "Turbo Boost" or "Turbo Bust" or something like that.

Which takes me to another memory.  Maybe you remember Knight Rider?  Yah, was a hit when I was a kid, and I actually paid for a "KITT Kit" - a poster diagram showing all the features on the car and telling me about it and KITT did in fact have both "Turbo Boost" and "Turbo Bust" (for those of you who don't have ADD and can't follow my logic).

I bet somewhere in there I cut off box tops too and mailed them in for something.   They accidentally sent me two of the KITT Kits though, dropping my price from $15 (Plus shipping and handling) in 1980's dollars to $7.50 (more than twice minimum wage still).   I guess that'd make that little poster $40 something in 2011 dollars.....stupid David Hasselhoff preying on stupid kids....
