Wow....didn't see this one coming.
Apparently GM's Onstar has altered the terms of the Onstar agreement ("That was never a condition of our agreement, neither was giving my driving data to this bounty hunter!" "I'm altering the agreement. Pray I don't alter it any further!") and can continue to collect information on you even after you unsubscribe from the service.
They are collecting everything from seat belt usage, speed, location and whether they can hear you making out or other sexual activities in the car (I made that last one up but I wouldn't be surprised).
I'm not big into conspiracies, but the simple fact is, if there's a tool and a way to misuse something - it's going to be misused and exploited!
Our founding fathers well knew the depravity of government and men left unchecked, though they themselves were mortal and had their own shortcomings. Benjamin Franklin acknowledged he struggled with carnal sins, Thomas Jefferson also and who declared all men equal despite owning slaves, John Adams threatened to disown his children if they ever failed to uphold or value the freedom he had personally sacrificed for and provided for them - but they were men who God could trust to do and legislate what was right despite their imperfections. I would that all men would be so humble in today's world and realize and recognize what is right and what is wrong - and quit trying to push the boundaries of the rules in order to exploit them and "get away with as much as they can." Just a thought.
