Seriously, how about this for a survey....
"Would you like to participate in a survey?"
"No.."
"Thank you! That's one more...."
As much as I love watching politics in the news, this part of it drives me nuts: the polls and fake surveys that CNN and MSNBC and everyone else cooks up in order to swing public opinion because they think (actually are probably right) that their audience is a bunch of rubes who will simply vote for whichever person everyone else is going to vote for.
So anyways, Michelle Bachman apparently "won" the straw poll in Iowa.
Whoop de doo.
I'm sorry - but - black man born in Kenya with a top-secret birth-certificate for president - yah - it happened. But, a woman? Could happen but not likely this time around. We got hopey-changey-diversity this last time around. We just want our fricking normal country back and I think Americans might be tired of experimentation.....of course....that puts us back on track for right where we headed and are right now anyways and we DO need to do something different - so who knows?!
But I *DO* grow tired of the political media winds that blow in this country this time of the quatrade or presidential election political cycle - call it what you will.
Bottom line? What we SEE and what we THINK are going to happen and what IS going to happen are three different things.
What's going to happen is going to happen. People really aren't going to remember the BREAKING NEWS STAW POLL report in November when they vote. So....give it a rest....on that and on every other poll.
Romney SMOKED the Iowa straw poll in 2007 (even though Mormons don't smoke straws or anything else) but that didn't factor in Suckabee and McLame conspiring in 2008 to keep the front-runner Romney from actually winning the nomination by trading primary votes and sabotaging each other just to keep Romney down.....idiots....
Worst part is, Edwards had a better platform than Obama did - only reason he got elected was because he's black. Nobody'd vote for a white guy who had the plans and ideas and ego that Obama did and we know it. So....whatever....
