If I can be so presumptuous as to speak on behalf of my fellow veterans, I don't find it dishonorable to get a military deferment so one does not have to serve in the military. I don't think most of us find that dishonorable. It's legal. Its honest. It's the appropriate way to do things. There are other ways to serve your country besides just in the military. Were it not for the Boy Scouts and Sunday Schools and baseball teams and book clubs and medical research and all the rest of everyday American life, there really wouldn't be much worth fighting for.
But claiming to have served when you didn't is dishonorable. Click Here To Read About It.
You tread on the blood of millions then in too many ways, waltzing around the room for the cameras stepping on the memories of those who served while you stayed behind when you do that.
I wonder if he's going to call Nancy Pelosi and ask her about how she handled being in favor of water boarding and knowing all about it yet lying and saying this was an entirely "Bush thing" and the press being all over her. She'll probably say "They will forget about it, just give them time, say 'no more questions on this' and it will all be over soon."
By the way, how's her re-election bid coming?
I have noticed a tendency on the part of Democrats to exaggerate and have an inflated ego as well as outright lie.
Let me do a psyche analysis on this one though in layman's terms. It isn't too hard. I haven't even read the story because the headline summed it up for me. But let me do an analysis or give a Freudian insight into this: I think they are jealous of those who serve. I think they admire the military. I think they want to have served. On the flip side I think they are cowards. They think of themselves as so special they would wear medals if it wasn't over the top to do so just for being them and would prance around like a little peacock in heat because of the way they seem to hit on this theme again and again. I see a desire to sway the audience and a willingness to do anything to achieve it, including lie and lose their reality about themselves on it and get so caught up in the emotion of it all. They are so caught up in their own BS I tend to think they are ungrounded in a lot of other things as well - of course, psychologically it's impossible not to be. The spectrum most of these politicians dabble in in terms of the antisocial and histrionic spectrums in terms of functioning and their perception of the world is pretty obvious while to some degree a requirement in order for them to obtain public support like they do.
If you want to see what histrionic personality disorder looks like, I'm enclosing a picture here. And if you're thinking you would like to spend some time with Miss Histrionic, TRUST ME - you don't. You won't get anywhere unless you worship her every single frigging step of the way and you may as well have a dominatrix who has you jumping through hoops in a circus but she's the show and you're just the entertainment. Usually it's more a female disorder, but our president has it pretty baaaaaad - the "look at me 2,000 times a month on a camera while I point into the audience and select you to ask me questions and we film it I'm so powerful!" thing he's got going on. The photo is from some of my college work but pretty much sums it up - high maintenance, have to be the center of attention and LOOK AT ME!
Everything is manipulation to him, to make you look or act like he's not looking, everything is calculated towards the stroking of his ego.Everything. I know people find that hard to believe but then, this is disordered thinking too. If he was like you or me he wouldn't be him and wouldn't be that way.
Anyways, that's what I think of the guy who served in Vietnam but didn't serve in Vietnam as well. I would bet you a thousand dollars if we sat him down in a chair and whipped out the notepad we'd find a TON of stuff to discuss that is wrong in his life or that he doesn't have a hold on. How do I know? It's because it's what I do for a living and I've spent a few years inside these peoples' heads.
