Nigeria's No.1 golfer, Ali Abdullahi, has died in a ghastly auto crash. The accident occured on Wednesday May 19th along Minna-Paiko-Suleja Rd. Ali and the two other occupants in the car, Ali's caddie and another professional golfer, Christian Godfrey, died on the spot.
They were heading to Minna, Niger State, for the four day Tradoc Pro-AM Gulf tournament which started the same day they died.
Until his death, Ali Abdullahi was West Africa's best Golf Player and Nigeria's current male champion. He was 26 years old.
Christian Godfrey ended the 2009 season as Nigeria's best raked professional player. He was 30 years old.
So sad. May their souls (plus the caddie) rest in peace, amen.
