Yahoo Answers: Someplace to Kill Time On the Web - and Ask and Answer Questions

If you're looking for somewhere to kill time online where you can interact, but that's not chatting and isn't just reading, but can be educational as well, I found something that MIGHT be interesting to you: Yahoo Answers.  http://www.answers.yahoo.com/

I've been on Yahoo Answers for a few years now, even made some friends on there.  But Yahoo Answers is a place where you can ask and answer questions on about any subject.  I've gotten help on computer programming, genealogy, car troubleshooting, travel, entertainment - you name it!  You'll get answers very quickly (if you word them properly and post them in the right section and even at the right time, some times of day the parts fo the world that could answer your question are asleep and the question may disappear due to the high volume of questions that come through there - over 1 billion now).

You use or create a yahoo account / profile, have an avatar, and you get points for answering questions, bonus points for getting chosen as a "best answer" and can even vote for answers with a thumbs up or a thumbs down. 

I'm at level "six" and have submitted a few thousand answers, my specialty has been higher education in the psychology field, and of particular interest to me has been the Religion and Spirituality Section - though I must confess I often feel as though my IQ drops just by reading some of the questions that are in there.  Sometimes even questions, not just answers, can be wrong.

At any rate, it's been a great resource if I've found myself in a pinch and needing to get an answer quickly, I will often turn here if nothing else I'm doing is working.
