TWENTY THOUSAND (thousand....twenty thousand) pieces of mail missing found in a Philadelphia Mailman's home. Including checks, college acceptance letters etc.
I suppose what would have been even WORSE was twenty thousand empty opened envelopes of checks only. But no, the articles were intact. Click Here To Read About It!!! Or twenty thousand empty wrappers that formerly contained items that should only be opened by someone older than 18.
Anyways, you know, if you have mail missing you can go file a report at the post office. They take them very seriously. If you know you have something coming, and it doesn't get there, call the originating agency/individual (that's fancy psychobabble for "the person who sent it") to make sure they have a record of it being sent, and then go to the post office and ask for a complaint form to report the missing mail and give them all the details and it gets taken care of pretty quick. I've done it. I know, I'm just a trouble maker who teaches people how to sue people, scams on insurance and now how to go after the Post Office.
