Movies I've Watched: Gattaca (1997)

This is probably one of my favorite movies of all time and the most inspirational (and given where we're headed as a nation with increasing government control and increasing technological ability it may be quite applicable).

Directed by Danny DeVito it's one of my favorite "inspirational" movies - in that it's not a lovey-dovey-feel-good-hallmark-film (those are okay, just not my favorite) but it's got a lot of suspense, the sci-fi effects aren't so over the top that they detract from the film, a bit of action and well, Jude Law, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman....it's a great mix!    I'll really have to let the trailer sum it up for you. I think one of my top 5 favorites: cerebral, dramatic, action, and suspenseful (my wife said "it also has romance!" and that made it pretty darned good but not one of the key reasons I'd watch it...)

My favorite line?  "You wanna know how I did it?  This is how I did it: I didn't save anything for the trip back!" (You'll have to see the movie)
