Radio Roundup: Hugh Hewitt

Hugh Hewitt is one of the radio commentators I probably enjoyed most for being informative and examining the principles of the issues involved in our daily lives in depth.  Hewitt is an attorney and has worked in the past for the Reagan Administration, worked for Nixon on his library and is currently a Law Professor at Chapman University and is a Harvard Graduate (like our president only this guy's way smarter).

One of the things I like about Hewitt is the diversity of his guests.  He routinely has called in people who are currently in the middle of current affairs to speak on the issues and interviewed them rather than just talking on his own and reading articles for three hours.  I've heard Colin Powel, Justice Thomas, Condoliza Rice and many others of note interviewed in depth and at length on his program in a conservative format that I just don't get and never would ever on the news.  I would have to sift through a mound of books to get the info I get in just one interview.  Hewitt also routinely interviews other professors from other universities on various subjects to get an academic review of the issues with a critical examination of the subjects.  Further, his firsthand experience of having worked in the Reagan Administration and his work with it makes his commentary especially colorful.  Lastly, that he is an attorney and a Constitutional Law Professor makes his insights on current constitutional issues exceptionally enlightening and very educational.

Hewitt is openly a Christian Evangelical and his callers often greet him with "Morning Glory" to which he replies "And Evening Grace to you!"  I am not entirely up on the precise apparently religious meaning phrase is, but in a politically correct society, I rather enjoy hearing someone say something like it.

Hewitts webpage can be located here which goes to his blog: http://hughhewitt.com/blog/  and at the top of the page is a link you can click with the hours of his show and listen to him streaming live online.

PLUG IN AMERICA!  Hugh is a great man to learn from (I've emailed him and even gotten a response back a time or two from him as well). Educate up!
