A Jewish junior high school student was doing well in school in all of his subjects except for Math. So his parents decide to send him to a private Catholic school which had a renowned math program. He hated math though and told his parents he didn't want to go and he just would never be good at it and didn't care for the subject in the least!
His parents told him he had no choice and begged him not to waste their money while they tried to give him a good education. Brushing them off he flatly refused but agreed to attend the school at any rate.
After his first day of school, the boy came home and his mother tried to stop him to ask him how school was. "No time to talk mom! Gotta study!" Into his room he went and shut his door. This continued day after day with his grades in math soaring higher and higher. At the end of the grading period the boy got straight As. So his parents finally had a chance to ask him, “What on earth were they doing different at the Catholic school that this worked so well for you?”
The Jewish boy replied, “Well, when I walked into the math class the first day and saw that guy nailed to the plus sign at the front of the room I knew these Catholics weren't fooling around!”
