I also get tired of Mexicans acting so arrogant because they can speak two languages (THEN WHY DON'T YOU SPEAK ENGLISH????) like the rest of us are stupid because we speak English. Just for the record, my maternal grandparents, aunts and uncles are immigrants from Europe. My family speaks English, French and Italian - picked up English stateside.
Just to be annoying in public, I've taught my children French and Japanese, and anytime I end up next to the Mexicans chattering away in their oh-so-special-secret-language (that they got from the last European country that invaded them and imposed their language on them) I start talking to my kids in Japanese or French. The Mexicans become visibly annoyed by it and I can see them trying to understand what language I'm speaking. (White guy? GRINGO? NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH???) Then to be even more annoying I'll run through language lessons in the store about seven different languages and ways to say something as we go through the checkout.
But that's not my point.
Our economy is in the toilet. Things are going down hill. We're sending BILLIONS overseas to buy foreign oil when we've got the worlds' largest supply right here. We're shuffling billions to Mexico through stupid welfare entitlement. I actually get annoyed when they act like they are so kind and helpful to my wife in her wheelchair on the bus to show there's no harm in them being here. LET ME TELL YOU THIS: having my wife helped on the bus with her wheelchair is NOT worth the $56k or however many tens of thousands we are paying for that individual to be here. While we're supposed to be kind to one another, kindness is lost on me when it becomes an excuse for fraud. Let alone we want to give citizenship to people who's FIRST ACT was to break international law.
So I'm at the supermarket today. I buy stuff for a Salad for Sunday after church. I'm looking at the produce and there are radishes shipped from freaking Mexico all the way to Portland....and Mushrooms from Canada.....peppers from Peru......and not much American. (I will have to confess, the tendency to look is the product of a liberal arts class I took at my liberal arts college for my liberal arts degree - try being the only conservative, heterosexual, white, married, christian, concealed weapons licensed, veteran, eagle scout, blue collar worker in THAT environment.)

WHY are we spending money on someone's south-of-the-border radish farm when I live in the Willamette Valley with more farms than you can shake a stick at? I grew up WORKING on farms picking onions and radishes for $1 per crate!!!
I kind of lost it in the produce aisle and muttered under my breath but loud enough so everyone around could hear "WHAT THE FRICK ARE MEXICAN RADISHES DOING HERE WHEN THERE ARE RADISH FARMS ALL OVER THE FRICKING PLACE????" Customer service asked "can I help you find something sir?" "American produce???"
I've had it. I love my country. I can't serve on the front lines anymore but I can vote with my wallet. Its bad enough we imported a president from Kenya and a communist ideology from Europe but I'm buying (and voting) American from now on.
