Okay all you Boy Scouts! Here's one I never learned but thought was kinda cool - cooking bacon and eggs in a bag on the trail. I don't know about y'all though but, for some reason, most cooking in the outdoors always seems so cumbersome and....out of place. I mean - bacon and eggs is something I eat at Denny's or while I'm back on the farm in Amity. But....while overlooking a scenic vista with cold wind blowing past me and freezing my butt off? I kind of expect to be eating GORP or beef jerkey. I mean...you know what I mean?
And the outdoorsey girls - fun to be around - but - yeah - low maintenance and I'm sure a couple days of being exhausted on the trail surrounded only by rocks and nature and they start to look better....at least that's what always happened in Boy Scouts (on the occasions there were girls). Actually....heck...at 16.....you can't say you really have any tastes. Your standards are pretty low or at least undefined at that point while you try to figure your way through the world.
